Bad raiders always do things that make no sense to the rest of us. A smart raider knows that if he reads a strategy guide in advance and maybe watches a video or two, the raid will kill the boss they are working on with less wipes. The lazy raider just shows up. You would rather spend your raiding time fighting trash mobs, burning through consumables, and racking up repair bills, than killing bosses and getting loot.
This is especially frustrating to us raid leaders, because it’s pretty much out of our control. If you show up to my raid and don’t bring consumables, fail to cast buffs, or play like crap, I can see it and do something about it. But when you can’t be bothered to spend 10-15 minutes reading up on a fight before the raid, the only way I can tell is if you make a mistake big enough to wipe the raid and I see it happen.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t usually work that way. An unprepared raider will make a small mistake, and it gets lost in the chaos of battle. And he’s usually not alone. There’s always a group of people who don’t properly prepare for fights, and their mistakes add up. So do me and all the other poor put upon raid leaders out there a favor, and read a damn guide. I’ll even be posting some in the near future.

“The complete idiots guide to how to wipe a raid” Written by C.C. Breaker
Cover all the major points of changing gear right as the boss is pulled.
Yelling into your mic over vent making other raiders ears bleed.
Introduction by Leeroy Jenkins.

And, the most beautiful part of it all is when they claim, “I don’t read guides because they are worthless. I only learn by experience and guides can’t provide that.”
Then they proceed to wipe the raid because they have no GD clue that they aren’t supposed to Fairey Fire the Priest before the mage tank aggros on the Council … sigh.
Lazy bastards. They should been hunters. At least then we’d be able to recognize them.
