So why am I so pissed off? It’s because it takes 24 other people to raid and most of you suck at this game. WoW is the first MMO I’ve played and it took me a while to figure out what was different about MMOs as compared to other games. People rarely spend a large amount of time on a game unless they are good at it. In addition, the more time people spend on a game the better they get. But World of Warcraft, and I assume other MMOs, don’t follow that rule. I know people that play for 20, 30, 40, or more hours a week and after playing with them for an hour, you’d swear they just bought the game.

Maybe my assumption that most people get better at games over time is incorrect. There could be millions of people playing games at home by themselves that never get past the first level, mission, or boss. They only ever see 5% of a game, but they keep playing it over and over because they like the pretty colors and flashing lights. It’s like a Gym class full of fat kids that all want to play dodgeball. They suck at it and they’re going to get hurt, but they loves them some dodgeball!

I know what you’re thinking, “He couldn’t be talking about me! I melt faces!” Yes I am! And no you don’t! What amazes me more than the level of suck you all manage to attain is how deluded you are about your own level of skill. I swear everyone that plays WoW believes that they are in the top 10% of players. Unless 90% of the player base is mad up of gold spammers and bank alts, that isn’t the case scrub. And even if it was I think I could outplay some of you on my bank.

Every raid leader out there knows who I’m talking about. You have that group of players (it’s always the same ones) that screw up fight after fight, but never seem to realize that they are the ones who suck. You keep them around out of a sense of loyalty because they’ve been around since you did Karazhan. Or maybe you just can’t find a replacement because your server has too many guilds. So you’re stuck with them. I especially love it when one of them bitches at the rest of the raid, or puts some rah rah post up on your guild forum about how if we all just try a little harder we can do it! Go team! And you just want to go to their house and jam a lit road flare in their face while screaming, “MOVE OUT OF THE FIRE!”

Or maybe that’s just me.
