I write too much.

Didn’t realize how long that last post was until I went back to reread it.  So for you ADHD sufferers, here’s the fucking short version.

Stop telling me my raids would go better if I kicked people out and recruited replacements.  There’s never as many geared and skilled recruits as any guild would like.  Except huntards.  They’re everywhere.

True that, it’s a dirty business really. You need extremely loyal and cohese people to support a smart and dedicated raid leader for it to even remotely work, even so, might be tough. My current guild atm was very very lucky and very smart in their recruitment. Hope to see you in WotLK!

    Hey I resemble that.

You know my guild also had these issues. Maybe it’s universal.

The guild leader was kinda a raging A-Hole though and many of the so called competent raiders left because they didn’t want to deal with the “old boys club attitude” rather than because they were tired of wiping. Some people also icked because the guild leader or other people didn’t “like” them too. Ironically some of these people were also the most dedicated as far as attendance and being prepared, etc.

So when the leader then started complaining about “where did everyone go??”, I had to laugh and I left eventually too. I guess that was just the consequence of driving people away by treating people like crap or deciding they can’t play because the other widdle kiddies didn’t get along perfectly with them. Grown-ups, my sweet !@#…

I agree that so called grown-ups shouldn’t cry about being in a learning raid, and neither should grown-ups rant and rave like psychotic lunatics at other grown-ups because of a mistake in a game.

I’ve seen the same things happen to guilds on my server except for one main difference. People hate my server, so instead of leaving the guild to go to a better guild…they leave the guild to go to a better server. Every once in a while a skilled person transfers onto the server and I swear every raid leader out there jumps them before a week is up.

I really like your blog. Words of cut-to-the-chase honesty about it.
